There's always something else in the room — a held breath, a second story, a creature you didn't notice at first.
That's what I'm chasing, whether I have a brush or a camera in my hand. In my paintings, it might be a sleeping figure ringed by roses and wild animals, caught somewhere between safety and danger. On the street, it's a stranger seen through glass, doubled and softened by a reflection that turns an ordinary face into a small mystery.
I love the surreal, the tender, and the quietly strange — the way the everyday tips over into something dreamlike if you look a beat longer. I work in oil and acrylic, in illustration, and in photographs, but it's all the same search: I want you to feel that there's more going on beneath the surface, and to stay a little longer to find out what.
